Why Battersea?

The area encompassing Battersea, Nine Elms and Vauxhall is currently enjoying significant investment as part of a huge redevelopment programme. Once complete the Battersea Power Station complex will be a major hub of entertainment, retail and business, as well as housing hundreds of residential apartments. The riverside area is already established as a destination and is a highly desirable location for businesses attracting, as it does, those living in the southwest who no longer need to travel into central London. This is an exciting time for Battersea and the businesses located here. Office space here starts at an affordable £350 and rises to £800 monthly per desk for premium locations.

Apple are soon due to move their London Campus into the Power Station’s business hub, and the U.S. Embassy relocated to a new building in the 195-hectare Nine Elms development in 2018, making fine neighbours for the huge influx of businesses into the redeveloped Battersea area. Businesses based in Battersea are many and varied but notably include Penguin Random House and the Royal College of Art.

Battersea is already well served by bus routes. Clapham Junction Station is the busiest station in Europe and, along with Queenstown Road, connects the area both with central London and towns and villages across the south of the UK. The cycling infrastructure is excellent in Battersea and the Cycle Superhighway 8 passes through unbroken.
